Halloween in Jerome?
When it comes to Halloween no town takes it more seriously than Jerome. Because Jerome is an old mining town in Northern Arizona with a reputation for ghosts. The locals consider this the high holidays and really “bring it” when it comes to costumes and all things Halloween.
Activities that will make Halloween more exciting in Jerome:
The Grand Hotel has ghost meters that they give to guests who want to see if there are any spirits in and around their rooms. There are several companies that will take you on tours around the town to show you where historically spirits have been seen.
The infamous Spirit Room bar is named for both alcoholic spirits as well as the ghost like spirits. There are often bands and plenty of bikers who come up from all over the country to drink at this popular hangout.

and show you the sites. Great way to see the town from a local perspective.
Annual Jerome Halloween Dance
This is a benefit for the town’s fire department and trust me there is nothing like this costume ball. You will see costumes you will never see in other towns. People who come to the dance sometimes work for months to get just the right look to compete for cash prizes at the end of the night. It’s well worth it to come up to Jerome during October, you won’t regret it.
